If you still have your old Oamk M365 account in Office, reset the Office desktop version login using Microsoft SaRA (MS Support and Recovery Assistant) and then log in again.
- Remove the old Oamk account from Windows settings:
- Open Windows settings.
- Select Accounts.
- Select Work or school accounts.
- Remove the old oamk.onmicrosoft.com account.
- Important! When logging into Office/Teams, uncheck the box that says “allow your organization to manage this device.” This setting is only for devices managed by Oamk/ University of Oulu.
- If you have a Windows computer,
please download and install Microsoft SaRA (Support and Recovery Assistant):- Download SaRA https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=100607 and install it to your computer.
- In SaRA, please choose “I am unable to sing-in to activate or use Office apps.” Then click the Next button.
- If you have a Mac,
please download and install Office-Reset:- Download Office-Reset https://office-reset.com/download/Microsoft_Office_Reset_2.0.0.pkg
- when you run the program, choose “Reset Office apps to factory settings”.
- restart your computer.
- Download Office-Reset https://office-reset.com/download/Microsoft_Office_Reset_2.0.0.pkg
- Outlook on your phone:
- Remove the old account from your phone’s Outlook.
- Restart your phone.
- Add your current account to your phone.
- If your phone persistently tries to use your old Oamk account:
- Add an account like somethingElse@students.oamk.fi (somethingElse should not be your actual username; the idea is to “trick” the phone into taking you to the login screen).
- Now log in with your actual username correctUsername@students.oamk.fi.
- Enter your password and confirm the login on your phone (MFA, i.e., multi-factor authentication).
