VISITOR printing account

The VISITOR account is a printing account for visitor use subject to charge. The unit may acquire a VISITOR user account and card for €170/year and lend it to a non-staff member for using the printing service. The unit is responsible for the costs arising from the separate right as well as the printing and copying expenses.

The account can be used for logging into workstations maintained by ICT Services and printing to devices covered by the printing service. The account includes a card with an RFID tag that can be used for logging into printing devices, picking up prints, scanning and copying.

The VISITOR account has limited rights compared to the UFO account: it does not include network drives or M365 services. Without M365 service, it’s not possible to use mobile printing or direct scanning to email.

The visitor account is not personal: the unit is responsible for lending the card and changing the connected password whenever the user changes. The same account and card can therefore be transferred to the next user after the change of password.

Ordering and update the VISITOR account:

  1. Order the account and card from Campus ICT. Include the cost center and name of the person who approved the acquisition.
  2. Send the order to Campus ICT by email or make a ticket.
  3. Agree with Campus ICT on the details of handing over the user account and card.
  4. Make sure that the card is returned after the use to the unit.
  5. Always change the password when the user of the card changes.
