Oamk student workstations are computers maintained by ICT Services and they are either fixed workstations in classes and lobbies, or laptops that can be borrowed from laptop vendors. This page is about computers and laptops software intended for use by Oamk students.
- The computer classrooms have been meant primarily for teaching use. You may use these workstations within the premises opening hours when space is not allocated for teaching. You can check the booking situation on the doorside display.
- The self-study spaces are intended for students’ self-study use and the machines cannot be booked in advance.
- On the page Use of Laptop Vendors you can see the locations of the laptop vendors, their device quantities and instructions for using the vendors.
The operating system in the workstations is Windows. All workstations have basic software and, in addition to them, different software configurations on a room basis. All workstations can be used to access AVD remote desktops which is also possible on your own device wherever you are.
Course-specific or other possible software installation requests can staff send to ict@oulu.fi. If you need the program in a teaching situation, please contact us at least 2 weeks before teaching.
