Office 365 – Word, Excel and PowerPoint: Real-time online collaboration

By sharing a Word document multiple people can work on it at the same time and see each others changes in real-time.

Sharing an Excel spreadsheet or PowerPoint presentation is done in a similar manner.

  1. Open a file in onedrive.
  2. Word Online doesn’t include all features of Word.
  3. Click on “Edit File” and then “Edit in Word”.
  4. Click on “Share” at the top right corner of the screen.
  5. Add email of the people you are sharing with.
  6. Change permission to your liking.
  7. You can include a message, but it is optional.
  8. Click on “Send” to finish.
