What do I do if I cannot log in to VISU?

• Check that your user account is valid.
• Make sure the MFA is working (check Authenticator update, battery optimization, notifications).
• Make sure you use the correct login address: https://desktop.visu.oulu.fi
• Change the network (Wi-Fi ↔ mobile data) or disconnect the VPN if it interferes with authentication.
• You can reset your MFA registration at https://account.oulu.fi/mfa using Suomi.fi identification.
• If the problem is not resolved, please contact ICT Services at ict@oulu.fi.

Can the environment be reached remotely?

• Yes. The user can log in to their user environment remotely, but the requirement is an internal network of the University of Oulu or a VPN connection of the University of Oulu.

How can access rights be changed or revoked?

• Changes to access rights are always applied for through the University of Oulu service management system using a separate change request form.

Can the environment be used by people other than those in a work/study relationship with the University of Oulu?

• A person who does not have an employment relationship with the University of Oulu or the University of Applied Sciences, but has justified reasons and rights to use the universities’ IT resources, applies for a separate right of use through their unit. Such persons may be, for example, a teacher, a visiting researcher or a teacher, a researcher working on grant, scholarship and academy funding, an emeritus professor or a pensioner continuing research.
