Lehmus AI platform is designed to support cutting-edge research and LLM usage on the University of Oulu. If your project requires and LLM that is not currently available in our pre-installed LLM library, you may request its installation by following the guidelines below and submitting the request form.
Submission requirements
To ensure a smooth evaluation and deployment process, please provide the following details in your request:
- Hugging face Model Link: Provide the direct URL to the model repository. Please ensure the model license allows for academic or institutional use.
- Use case and Project Context: Briefly describe the use case for the new model and how it will provide new use cases that existing models will not provide.
- Availability Timframe: Specify when you need the model to be activated and the expected duration of use. This helps us manage compute priorities in the cluster and free resources to new models when they become available.
How to submit your request
Requests should be submitted via request form. Please check before submission if available large language models will provide required performance.
Evaluation and deployment process
Once submitted, our team will review the request based on:
- Hardware compatibility: Assessment of VRAM requirements against available resources
- Data privacy: Ensuring the model can be run in our environment and it does not have any known side effects.
- We aim to process and install requested models in 22 business hours. With newer models, it may take longer.
- After deployment, we will inform requester of new model and update our documentation to include the new model.
