The media management system of the universities in Oulu is changing. Panopto is replacing Yuja, which use will end on March 24, 2025. Start creating new videos to Panopto immediately: Users’ videos and other content will be copied from Yuja to Panopto by the service provider, when the content is created in Yuja by February 15, 2025 at latest. After this date, the transfer of content will be user’s responsibility. Copied content will be available for users on March at the latest.
Panopto is a media management tool for the University of Oulu and Oamk. All students and staff of the University of Oulu and Oamk can store their video files in Panopto and share them with other services.
In Panopto, you can make screen capture videos and order automatic subtitles for your videos. Panopto also has a mobile version for Android and iOS.
Using Panopto
You can log in to Panopto with your University of Oulu or Oamk username (EntraID) or via Moodle. These different login methods create two different users. You can share rights between these users so that you can access videos from both users.
If you use Moodle for your work, it is recommended to use Moodle login. Moodle login requires that you have previously logged into the joint Moodle of the University of Oulu and Oamk. Note! You will receive the rights to create videos (Creator role) in Panopto for your Moodle user account once you have added a Panopto activity to a Moodle course.

User training sessions are organised regularly, these events are communicated through the internal communication channels of UniOulu and Oamk. You can also watch the recording of the Panopto user training (21.1.2025 ). The language of the training is English.
