Cella room reservation application (UO)

Cella is a mobile application that enables students and staff at University of Oulu to find available working spaces and meeting rooms for their use on the go.

Cella currently supports a limited amount of working spaces around Linnanmaa campus, but the selection will be expanded in the future.

Install and use!

Act this way:

(1) Download the application using one of the links:

(2) Install the app

(3) Login with your Oulu university’s O365 student or personnel account.

(4) Reserve the meeting room you need:

  • Rooms with a green mark under the picture are right now free. Tap on the image and you can reserve the room (max. 2 hours).
  • You can use the app’s search function (magnifying glass) to find a room that suits your needs by specifying the number of persons, booking duration or the features of the room. When you find a suitable room, tap its image and make a reservation (max. 2 hours).

(5) Use Cella’s function Show on the map / Näytä kartalla to navigate to the room you reserved.

Problems?

If there are problems with the use of Cella, first of all, do these actions:

(1) Log out of Cella and close it.

(2) Turn the phone off and on again.

(3) Then log in again. If the problem persists then send feedback from the app by going to menu and choosing Send feedback. Please describe the problem and tell which version of iOS or Android you are using. Also tell your email address if it’s different than the one you use to log in Cella.

If the previous steps didn’t help:

(1) Log out again and close Cella.

(2) Delete the app and install the latest version from the app store.

(3) Then log in again. If the problem persists then send feedback from the app by going to menu and choosing Send feedback. Please describe the problem and tell which version of iOS or Android you are using. Also tell your email address if it’s different than the one you use to log in Cella.

If Cella crashes in iOS device:

New iOS version has generated a problem where Cella can crash occasionally when it’s starting up. The problem is being investigated, but you can get Cella back to work by following the next steps:

  1. In the iPhone settings, turn on the Airplane Mode.
  2. In the settings, make sure that Wi-Fi is not turned on.
  3. Then the app opens, but it can’t of course find rooms.
  4. Log out from the app
  5. Put the Airplane Mode off
  6. Log in with your account.

If these previous steps didn’t help or the app crashes:
